BJJ Black Belt  ·  Coach  ·  Podcast Host  ·  Gracie Humaita San Diego

I started training Jiu-Jitsu in 2011 with no athletic background and no idea what I was getting into. I was just a guy who needed something that was his own. Fourteen years later, I am a First Degree Black Belt, a full-time warehouse supervisor, a father, and a coach who has spent most of that time figuring out how regular people with real lives can actually get good at this.

That is what DFM Coaching is built around. Not competition prep. Not highlight reels. Structure for grapplers who are serious about the long game and need someone in their corner who has lived the same constraints they have. I reached my black belt training three days a week. I know what it takes when the schedule is not on your side.

I teach classes at Gracie Humaita La Mesa, Five Peaks Jiu-Jitsu, and Sunny Dojo in the San Diego area. I work with students through private lessons, remote coaching, video analysis, and workshops. I also run the DFM Coaching Skool Community, a free space for grapplers who want more structure and connection than their home gym alone can offer.

Away from the mat I host Tapped In: A Jiu-Jitsu Podcast, three episodes a week covering the mental game, training culture, and the real life of a grappler. The show has reached listeners in 48 countries. I have also been a guest on BJJ Mental Models and Fighting Matters, two programs I have a lot of respect for.

If you are a white or blue belt who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or like you are just going through the motions every time you roll, I would genuinely like to help you figure that out.
